Perfect for lunches or dinners, this quick and easy Shakshouka recipe can be made with such limited ingredients without having to compromise on flavour! Try this recipe with our Greek Spice Mix and you'll surely be going in for seconds.
For this recipe you will need:
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/2 of a large onion
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1 canned tomatoes (or 3 fresh tomatoes)

- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 3 eggs
- 4 (or more) tablespoons Greek Spice Mix
- fresh cilantro
- salt & pepper to taste
Step 1: Chop garlic, onion & bell pepper. If you're using fresh tomatoes, chop those up too! Keep these ingredients aside.
Step 2: In your pan add your preferred cooking oil, then followed by garlic.
Saute for 1 minute and add in your onions. Saute both for another minute and add in your bell peppers.
Step 3: Add in your Greek Spice Mix
Step 4: Add your tomato paste, mix, add your fresh/canned tomatoes.
Add a little more Greek Spice Mix and combine before letting your Shakshouka reduce until it thickens.
Step 5: Make 3 holes in your Shakshouka with your spatula before cracking the eggs over these holes.
Step 6: Cover your shakshouka and let your eggs cook to your personal preference.
Step 7: Serve with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro & cracked pepper.
